📢 Keep Your Goals in Front of You — Every Day

FOR THE LOVE OF HOMESCHOOLING

Do you have goals?

Seems like a simple question, right? Most of us would say yes without hesitation. But here’s the real question: Are your goals in front of you every day, the way your bills and obligations are?

Think about it. You know exactly when your mortgage, rent, car payment, and power bill are due. Why? Because those companies make sure you know. You get a notice in the mail, a text, an email — reminders are constant. They keep their priorities in front of you because they want to make sure you follow through on your commitment to them.

But what about your personal goals — the ones that matter most to you? Who’s reminding you of those?

The truth is, most of us are surrounded by other people’s goals every day — at work, in social media, even in the expectations of family and friends. But how often do you sit down and remind yourself of the goals that you have for your family, your homeschool, and your personal growth?

Make Your Goals as Important as Your Bills

Brian Tracy, one of the top personal development experts, recommends that you not only write down your goals but write them as if they’ve already happened. Don’t say, “I want to homeschool successfully.” Instead, say, “I am successfully homeschooling my children, and they are thriving.”

Why? Because writing your goals in the present tense helps your brain believe that they are already achievable — and that belief drives action.

Here’s What You Can Do Right Now

1. Grab a sheet of paper and write down your top 10 goals — the big things you want to accomplish in the next year.

2. Put that list somewhere you’ll see it every day — on the bathroom mirror, your desk, or even as a lock screen on your phone.

3. Set daily reminders on your phone or watch. Keep your goals in front of you like a constant reminder — just like those bill notifications!

Faith and Focus

Proverbs 16:3 (NIV) says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” Writing down your goals and seeing them daily is an act of faith. It shows that you trust God to guide you as you take action.
