The 12 Voices Every Homeschool Family Needs
Why your child’s faith walk requires more than just you - and how to build their spiritual support team.
What if I told you your child’s future faith may depend on 12 voices that aren’t yours?

That’s right. According to Pastor Scott, the difference between a child who just hears the Word and one who lives it often comes down to who’s speaking into their life—consistently, lovingly, faithfully.
During our podcast conversation, Pastor Scott explained a game-changing concept: every child needs 12 to 14 adults speaking God’s truth into their life between birth and graduation.
This isn’t about over-programming or keeping up with appearances. It’s about spiritual reinforcement.
He described how Sunday school teachers, Awana leaders, homeschool tutors, and even faithful volunteers in the church hallway become those voices. Why? Because children don’t just need to hear the gospel—they need to see it lived out in the people around them.
And here’s the kicker: he reminded us that if youth ministry is done well, half of the effort is spent equipping the parents, not just entertaining the kids.

• Apply this principle by taking inventory: Who are the 5-6 voices already speaking into your child’s life? Who could be added? Prayerfully consider how to surround your child with a multi-generational team of Christ-followers.
